Howlite

Howlite gemstone beads are recognized for their distinctive natural appearance, most commonly displaying a white to creamy-white base with gray, charcoal, or black veining that creates a marble-like pattern. A calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral, Howlite is naturally porous and is sometimes dyed to produce additional colors. Its unique veining and subtle variations give individual beads their own character, making Howlite especially useful for adding visual texture to jewelry designs.

With a Mohs hardness of approximately 3.5, Howlite is softer than many popular jewelry gemstones and should be protected from scratches, hard impacts, prolonged moisture, and harsh chemicals.
